About TrickQuiz

TrickQuiz is a quiz app for iPhone, free on the App Store. It covers 48 topics and 843 subtopics — astronomy, history, animals, film, sport, geography, music, science and a good deal more — at three levels of difficulty.

It was built on a single idea: that everyone should be able to find a challenge in something they already care about. That is what the 843 subtopics are for — you choose the ground, and the questions come to you.

There are 12.8 million questions in it, across 14 languages: English, Hungarian, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, Arabic, Hindi, Bengali, Indonesian, Japanese, Korean and Chinese. Each language has its own question set, written for that language rather than translated from another one, so the wordplay and the spelling questions still work.

Not every question is perfect, and there is a report button in the app for when one is not. Reports are reviewed and the question corrected, so the next person to meet it gets a better version.

The app is free, and advertising pays for it. The kids section carries no advertising at all.
