Yes. The app is free and funded by advertising. You are never required to watch an ad — the ones you can choose to watch give you something back, like an extra life.

No. You can start playing immediately and your progress is saved to the device. Signing in with Apple is optional, and only exists so you can carry your progress to another phone.

14: English, Hungarian, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, Arabic, Hindi, Bengali, Indonesian, Japanese, Korean and Chinese. Each has its own question set rather than a translation of another.

Open Duels, tap "Challenge a friend" and send them the code. You both play the same twenty questions, whenever suits you — you do not have to be online at the same time.

Tap the flag icon on the question and tell us what is wrong. Reports are reviewed, and a question that turns out to be wrong is corrected or removed for everyone.

Stars are earned by playing — the daily quiz, streaks and bonus questions. You spend them on help when you get stuck, such as a hint or removing two wrong answers.

Yes. There is a separate kids section with its own questions, a ninety-second timer, and no advertising at all.

Profile, then Delete account, then type DELETE to confirm. Everything attached to the account goes with it. The delete-account page explains exactly what is removed.
