Deleting your account
You can delete your TrickQuiz account, and everything attached to it, from inside the app. It takes about ten seconds and cannot be undone.
From the app
- Open TrickQuiz and tap your profile.
- Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account.
- Type DELETE to confirm, and confirm again.
The deletion happens immediately and is permanent. There is no grace period and no way for us to restore the account afterwards.
What is deleted
- Your profile, display name and email address
- Your stars, scores, streaks and lifetime statistics
- Your trophy cards and collection progress
- Your per-question mastery history
- Your duels and the answers you gave in them
- Your rating and leaderboard entries
What remains
Duels are played between two people, so a duel you took part in still exists for your opponent. Those records are kept, with your account no longer identifiable in them — the app says the same thing at the moment you confirm.
Encrypted backups may hold copies for a short period before they expire on their normal schedule, and we keep whatever records the law requires us to keep.
If you cannot open the app
Email info@trickquiz.com from the address on the account and ask us to delete it. We may have to ask you a question or two first to confirm the account is yours — we would rather be slow than delete the wrong person's account. Expect a reply within a few days.
Deleting your account is not the same as deleting the app. Removing TrickQuiz from your phone leaves the account intact, so use the steps above if you want the data gone.
